Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Front of House Cafe Worker to join our team at Fido Cafe. As a vital member of our front-of-house staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every guest has an exceptional dining experience. From warmly greeting customers to taking orders, preparing beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized cafe environment, you will be at the forefront of delivering outstanding service to our valued guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers with a warm and welcoming demeanor as they enter the cafe.
  • Assist guests in selecting menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other cafe menu items with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ensure that all food and beverages are presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, including processing payments and providing change.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including wiping down tables, restocking utensils and condiments, and keeping the beverage station tidy.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cafe supplies and ingredients and communicate any shortages or replenishment needs to management.
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper handling of food, adherence to hygiene protocols, and regular cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and coworkers.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional service to guests.
