Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front of House Cafe Worker to join our team at Bongo East + Game Point. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, from taking orders and serving food and beverages to assisting with game rentals and creating a memorable experience for every visitor. Responsibilities:

• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor as they enter the cafe.
• Assist guests in selecting menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and cafe menu items with attention to detail and quality.
• Explain and demonstrate game rules and assist customers in selecting board games for their enjoyment.
• Ensure that all food and beverages are presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions, including processing payments and providing change.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including wiping down tables, restocking utensils and condiments, and keeping the beverage station tidy.
• Monitor inventory levels of cafe supplies, and equipment and communicate any shortages or replenishment needs to management.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper handling of food, adherence to hygiene protocols, and regular cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting.
• Passion for board games and a willingness to learn and teach game rules to customers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and coworkers.
• Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality and cleanliness.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive attitude and a passion for creating memorable experiences for guests.
