Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Fido Cafe Nashville. As a key member of our cafe staff, you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee beverages with precision and care while delivering exceptional service to our valued customers. From expertly pulling shots of espresso to creating beautiful latte art and engaging with guests, you will play an integral role in creating a memorable and enjoyable cafe experience.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment with precision and attention to detail.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of each drink by maintaining proper brewing techniques, adjusting grind settings, and monitoring extraction times.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, engaging with guests to take orders, answer questions, and make recommendations.
• Create and maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the coffee bar, equipment, and service area.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper handling of dairy products, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and following health code regulations.
• Assist with stocking and inventory management of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role in a cafe or coffee shop setting.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso extraction, and milk steaming techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A passion for coffee and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service to customers.
