DONATIONS We are a locally-owned* company and have a strong committment to the Nashville community. Our "Act globally. Drink locally" motto is more than a catchy slogan. We strongly believe that being locally-owned is a benefit to the community. Simply put, our stores are managed by local owners who are invested in the community and most of our operations' profits stay here in town.
We equally believe that we have a responsibility to get involved in our community. Toward this goal we donate to a wide-range of non-profit organizations, encourage our employees to do volunteer work and concentrate on buying all organic coffees under Fair Trade terms.
*Our ownership began as 100% Nashvillians. Since 1993 when we started one of these investors has since moved. The managing partner has lived in Nashville since 1988
DONATION OVERVIEW We set up this online request in response to the high number of donations our stores receive. Please either email your donation request to donations@bongojava.com or fax it to (615) 777-2233. Donation requests will be reviewed bi-weekly.
WHAT WE WILL CONSIDER: Although we donate to a wide-range of non-profit organizations, we mainly focus on groups working with the environment, education, children and/or arts programs. We look more favorably and generously to requests made by our regular customers and employees. We generally donate product and gift cards. WHAT WE WILL NOT CONSIDER: We do not make monetary donations. We do not donate to religious organizations of any kind. We also do not honor requests for on-going donation programs, for personal sponsorships or fundraisers such as marathons and walkathons.
